My most beloved and most honored novel, LIKE PEOPLE IN HISTORY, went live across all markets for Amazon Kindle as well as the 512 pg print on demand edition. It is available for the first time as an ebook, it's also out this morning on Kobo, Nook and Apple across all markets.

After selling out a dozen original printings, LIKE PEOPLE IN HISTORY has been out of print in the U.S. since 2010. The only current edition has been on AUDIBLE.

So if you--like many people I've met on the road in the 25 years since its publication--want a new copy, a reading copy, or copies to give as a gift -- this is the one to buy. It has an introduction by Montreal Journalist Richard Burnett, and an Afterword essay about writing the book by myself. For those who think they know me and my life, check out the cover of this 25th Anniversary issue. The photos contain pics of three past lovers and several friends.

Christopher Rice said of LIKE PEOPLE IN HISTORY:" A gay classic. It's a sprawling, propulsive epic ... I read it when I was in college and it helped shaped my perception of myself as a gay man."

It will be available to libraries and bookstores via Ingram book distribution system, which reaches all English speaking markets, is the distributor to over 39,000 retail stores, including chains, and libraries. It also went live in their ordering system this morning. Store orders are fulfilled within 3-5 days and copies are fully returnable.

A blog post appeared with the announcement - Like People In History by Felice Picano – ReQueered Tales

I want to thank ReQueered Tales for bringing Like People In History back into circulation.

Looking Glass Lives

LookingGlass

Stories within stories, secrets buried for generations, and the ghostly presence of a tragic figure from Civil War times haunts a seaside Rhode Island town and the lives of sexually precocious cousins Roger and Chas Lynch. When grown up Roger returns to live in the town's "haunted house" with his new wife, he discovers its cruel story. And the cousin's love triangle plays out eternal cycles of passion, jealousy, and perhaps also redemption.

Late In The Season

LateInTheSeason

A telling novel about gay life after Stonewall, Late in the Season is one of the finest novels in the long career of one of the founding members of the Violet Quill Club. Set on Fire Island in late September, this is the story of an unlikely pair of friends - a gay composer in his late thirties and an eighteen-year-old schoolgirl - both of whom are trying to make sense of their complicated lives. But much more than this, it is a compelling portrait of a magical time and place, after the Stonewall riots opened up so many possibilities and before AIDS forever changed the face of the gay world.
